How Google Can Help Your Business Save Money and Be More Efficient

As a business owner there are times when we come to the point where we need to hire outside help for the day-to-day administrative tasks such as contacting clients, contacting vendors, reaching out to potential sponsors for our events, scheduling appointments, etc.

Our assistants whether in-office or working virtually need to have their own email inbox in order to communicate with others on behalf of our company. It can get expensive when we are using a paid email service to add extra space to accommodate the extra inboxes necessary for our employees.

I have worked out a solution for my clients that have been saving them a lot of money by using the Google Apps service.

Google Apps allows you to have email addresses using your own domain name for free! For instance asst @ domain.com. It requires some modifications on your web hosting account to do this but once it’s done it’s well worth the effort!

With Google Apps you are able to create up to 200 individual email addresses each with 7MB of space which is a significant size and will take quite a while to use up!

You are also able to create a Start-Up Page for your employees to use when they sign into their user account and most of the features are similar to what you would find in a normal Google Gmail account: Calendar, Documents, Email, Chat, etc. The difference is this is a private area for your company using your domain name. The Start-Up Page can be customized with your logo and color styles of your choosing to match your company brand.

Another great feature is Google Calendar. Since Google Calendar in online, you can share it with your assistant and decide on the levels of access each user can have. Any updates made in Google Calendar are instant and easily viewable by you and your assistant helping you to stay on top of things anytime and anywhere as long as you have access to the Internet.

If you would like to learn more about Google Apps and if it’s right for your business, email me at info@youroutsourcesolutions.com to set up a consultation to discuss your needs.

Ideas To Start Your Online Business

Some women who are inclined towards starting an online business don't actually get down to doing it because they are unsure of what exactly they want to do. And even if they know what they would like to get into, they don't know how to go about it. It's important that a woman entrepreneur find something that would not only help her make some extra bucks, but also keep her interested for a long time. While you have to be determined to make your business work, you must be aware of the online options that would just not be convenient. You have to remember that the reason you're starting an online business is not just for the money but also that you get to spend enough time with your family.

Only when you have the passion for something like candle making or crotchet can you see a business opportunity in it. It's important that in addition to the artistic flair, you also have the temperament to sell your craft to people. You must not get into an online business simply because your neighbors are giving it a shot.If you think that the trade may not give you sufficient spare time, then it may not be worth it. Find out if you would like to help the society in any way and still make a business out of it. In case you would like to employ the underprivileged, not only would it be a source of income for them, you would also gain a lot of satisfaction in the process. At the end of the day, you must do what you have always wanted to do but couldn't due to various reasons.

You could also choose something that you would like to learn and then turn it into a business opportunity. Learning yoga or how to salsa or tai-chi would not only prove to be therapeutic for you but you could soon be conducting classes for other students. You must realize that getting into something like this would require you to master the art and only after considerable experience could you turn it into something lucrative. Often, you may not be aware of a hidden skill or talent in you--you may have an eye for interior designing or fruit carving and not really know about it. Ask your friends and family to point out such talents. If you would like to learn something, align the new craft with your interests. It also helps to polish your skills and make the most of it. Language experts are in great demand these days. Translators and interpreters can work from the convenience of their homes, as long as they are available online.

There are online forums for women entrepreneurs. If you aren't certain about the feasibility of your business idea, you can always post a query. The experts who are probably businesswomen themselves would look at your proposition and let you know if you should go ahead with your plan. Ask for suggestions and advice. But as an entrepreneur, you must be absolutely certain and confident of your strategy, even if others fail to recognize it. Be single-minded in pursuing your business dream and you'll soon make it.
